Your mediated settlement agreement (MSA) will contain all of the agreements made during mediation and all parties involved will sign the agreement, including the mediator. It is important to understand that signing off on your mediated settlement agreement (MSA) means that the agreement is binding. You can’t change your mind about the agreements that were made.

The law in our state contained in the Texas Family Code requires courts to enter an order based on the agreements contained in the mediated settlement agreement (MSA). If the mediated settlement agreement meets the requirements of the Texas Family Code, it is binding on the parties at the time that it is signed.
